Have a groundbreaking trial idea that could revolutionise vascular surgery practice? Here’s your chance to showcase your expertise! Submit your trial proposal for the Trials Competition at the ESVS 39th Annual Meeting in Istanbul.
💡 Why participate?
✔️ Up to four selected authors will receive FREE registration for the ESVS Annual Meeting.
✔️ Present your proposal to an audience of leading experts in vascular surgery.
✔️ Engage in a dynamic Dragons’ Den-style discussion to defend and refine your trial (no prize money, but plenty of recognition!).
How to take part:
1️. Prepare a one-page A4 proposal using Arial font size 12 on the official form (can be downloaded below) including:
- Title and rationale: Explain the question and how your trial will transform practice and benefit vascular surgery patients.
- Methods: Detail the number of participants, centres, time required for randomisation and statistical analysis to be used.
- Key elements: Include major inclusions/exclusions, planned analysis type, and cost estimate (separating any device costs from the total).
2️. Submit your proposal to Madina Lapeyre madina@esvs.org by 8th April 2025, 23:59

Presentation details:
- Successful proposals will have 8 minutes to present and participate in a 6-minute Dragons’ Den-style discussion with a panel of experts.
- Simple, pragmatic, and registry-enabled trials are especially welcomed – an important question and your trial able to provide a statistically reliable answer.
